Primark is renowned for it’s very affordable clothing and homeware. Unlike most high street stores though Primark never offer discount codes and very rarely hold sales. No Student or NHS discount available here I’m afraid. But, there are 3 ways that you can save money on your Primark hauls that you might not already know about! I’ve been using all three methods for the last few years to get discounts at Primark. I haven’t paid full price on my Primark shop in years thanks to these Primark discount hacks.
So if you want to bag some free clothes for a special occasion or just fancy some new bedding then read on to find out how to snag a Primark discount.
#1. JamDoughnut
JamDoughnut is a cashback app but it works a little differently to the one’s you might already be familiar with like TopCashback and Quidco.
Instead of clicking a link and then shopping online (of course Primark don’t offer this) JamDoughnut allow you to buy gift cards for Primark that you receive cashback for purchasing.
Once you have reached £10 of payable cashback you can withdraw the funds back to your bank account.
Getting Cashback at Primark with JamDoughnut
Here is the process I do whilst I’m at Primark to earn cashback with JamDoughnut:
- I whizz around the store and pop everything I want into a basket.
- I total up the amount I am about to spend
- Then I head to the JamDoughnut app and purchase a gift card for the exact value I am about to spend at Primark (For example, If my basket total is £36 I will buy a £36 Primark gift card on the JamDoughnut app)
- JamDoughnut will instantly sent you your gift within the app and reward you with the cashback
- I then join the queue to pay. Once the cashier has scanned everything I show my phone with the e-gift card for the cashier to scan to pay for my purchase
- That’s it!
The current rate of cashback for Primark on JamDoughnut is 8%. So if I had spent £36 my cashback total would be £2.88.

Airtime Rewards is another cashback app that rewards you a percentage of cashback based on your total spend amount. Airtime Rewards works differently to both JamDoughnut and the likes of TopCashback and Quidco.
Airtime Rewards tracks your card purchases and automatically rewards you cashback for your spending. No need to remember to click any links for your cashback to track as this is all automated!
Simply link the bank card/s that you regular shop with to your Airtime Rewards app and let Airtime Rewards do the rest. (This is totally secure to do and is done via TrueLayer banking)
Once you have built up £10 of payable cashback you can then withdraw this. Your funds are sent straight to your mobile phone provider and the £10 will be taken off the cost of your next phone bill.
I’ve been using Airtime Rewards to save money on my phone bill since August of 2019. In that time I have saved a whopping £458.55. That works out at an average saving of £10.42 a month! (My mobile phone bill isn’t cheap so this is a god send!)
Getting cashback at Primark with Airtime Rewards
Airtime Rewards have an exclusive feature to their app called Ignite. This is where you link a bank account to the app as well as your normal bank cards. (This is totally secure and is done via TrueLayer banking) Airtime Rewards Ignite members can currently get 2% cashback when they shop at Primark. If you spent £36 at Primark you would get 72p cashback. It’s not loads but it does add up if you are buying bits in Primark throughout the year. Airtime Rewards often have boosted offers and bonus cashbacks so it’s worth checking the app to see what’s available.
Airtime Rewards cashback cannot be stacked with JamDoughnut so I’d always recommend to check which app provides the highest amount of cashback. Use the app that offers the highest rate of cashback at the time you are shopping to save yourself the most money.

When you shop online via their partner brands you will receive cashback to your reward wallet. TopCashback is definitely my favourite of all the cashback apps. I’ve saved a whopping £3,217.45 since I started using the website.
So how do you get a Primark Discount with TopCashback? Once you’ve built up more than £5 of payable cashback you can convert this into a Primark e-gift card. Not only that but TopCashback will also give you a percentage bonus on top of your cashout. Currently TopCashback are offering a 6% bonus when you opt for a Primark gift card.
