JamDoughnut has very quickly become one of my favourite cashback apps to use. It allows me to get cashback at some of my favourite places like Nando’s, Asda, M&S, Primark and even B&M! Most of these brands you won’t find on TopCashback or Quidco. PLUS the best part? The cashback is instant! No waiting around for 30+ days for the funds to be approved to be withdrawn back to your bank account. JamDoughnut does work slightly differently to regular cashback apps so read on to find out exactly how it works and how to get a £3 new customer bonus.
How JamDoughnut is different to other cashback apps
For regular cashback apps like TopCashback and Quidco you would find the brand you want to purchase from and then click a tracked link from the cashback website to the brands website. You would then complete your shopping as normal and would receive a percentage of your spend back as cashback. You then need to wait until the return period for that item has passed for your cashback to become withdrawable.
With JamDoughnut you purchase a gift card for the amount you are about to spend and receive the percentage as points back to your JamDoughnut account instantly. Once you reach 1000 points you can withdraw £10 back to your bank account.
The perks of this are that you don’t have to wait a long period of time for your cashback as it is verified in your account instantly. And it means that there are far more brands available to receive cashback from in-store and online.
How to use the JamDoughnut Cashback App
Download JamDoughnut from the App Store or click here.
£3 New Customer Bonus
Sign up to JamDoughnut and enter promo code ‘E3ES‘.
When you purchase your first gift card via the JamDoughnut app you will receive a £3 cash bonus.

From the home screen you can scroll down to browse brands or use the search bar to search for a specific brand you are looking for.
Select the brand you would like to shop with.
You will then see information about the cashback amount offered as a percentage, where you can use the gift card and any important information to note.

On the brand screen you then need to click ‘Purchase Securely’.
Type in the amount you wish to spend.
The app will then calculate the amount of points you will receive for that purchase.
For example, if you spend £40 at Nando’s you will receive 280 points which is equal to £2.80.

Finally click ‘Purchase securely’.
You can then complete your payment via Bank or via Google/Apple Pay. (The bank payment method is done via TrueLayer Banking and is completely secure) If you select to pay via Google or Apple pay you will receive a lower cashback reward.
Then authorise your payment with your banking provider. This takes a few seconds to do with mobile banking.
Your £40 gift card will now be stored in your JamDoughnut account. When you are in Nando’s simply order at the till and then show gift code for the Nandos staff to enter to pay for your food order.

I normally don’t purchase my gift card via JamDoughnut until I am in the queue at places like B&M or Primark. Or if I’m at Nando’s I’ll work out my order value and then purchase a gift card before I go up to order and pay at the till. It can be done super quickly and easily via the app.
Updating your gift card balance
Your gift cards are stored in the app under the symbol that looks like a wallet.

Once you have used a gift card you will need to update your JamDoughnut app with the amount you have spent so you can keep a track of the value left on each gift card.
You can do this by heading to the wallet icon and selecting the gift card you are using. Then click ‘Update your balance’ Then simply enter the amount you have spent on that particular visit and JamDoughnut will calculate how much is now left on that git card.
If you purchase a £40 gift card for Nando’s but only spend £37.25 the remaining balance of £2.75 will be available to use on your next visit to Nando’s.
You can use multiple gift cards for your purchase so if I still have a small amount left on a gift card from the previous visit I will purchase a secondary gift card to make up the total and receive more cashback.
How to build up your cashback quickly
There are 2 main ways that we as a family have built up our cashback amount quickly and those are:
- Grocery Shopping
- Eating Out
We do all our grocery shopping at Aldi but our top-up shops and freezer foods are purchased at Asda, Sainsburys, M&S and Farmfoods, all of which are on JamDoughnut. This is spending we are doing every week and we get cashback for all of it.
Current cashback amounts for grocery shopping are:
- Asda – 3.0%
- Aldi – 2.5%
- Sainsburys – 2.75%
- Marks & Spencer – 4%
- Farmfoods – 3%
- Iceland – 3%
- HelloFresh – 7%
- Morrisons – 3.5%
(Cashback amounts accurate at the time of posting)
We also love eating out as a family. It’s something we do once a week. There are currently 40 eating out places listed on JamDoughnut that you can get cashback for.
Our favourite place to eat out as you can probably guess from this blog post is Nando’s! And nothing says ‘Cheeky Nando’s’ like getting a bit of cashback when we eat there.
Other popular restaurants on the app include:
- Toby Carvery – 9%
- Bella Italia – 7%
- Costa – 8%
- Hungry Horse – 6%
- Pizza Express – 7%
I’ve also used JamDoughnut for cashback at Odeon, Primark, Airbnb, B&M, Ikea and New Look.
The more you get into the habit of checking the app for a brand before you shop, the more money you will make!
How to stack JamDoughnut with other discounts
The best part about receiving cashback with JamDoughnut is that it can be stacked with other discounts.
For example, if New Look have a 25% discount code you can stack this with the 9.0% cashback JamDoughnut offer.
So if you ordered £25 worth of clothing at New Look, you would get 25% off bringing your spend down to £18.75 PLUS you would get £1.71 in cashback if you purchased a £19 gift card to pay for that order.
In total that would be a £25 order for just £17.04.
How to Cashout
Once you have reached £10 of cashback you can withdraw your funds back to your bank account
JamDoughnut currently charge 30p to process withdrawals and this is taken off the amount of cashback you have earned when you withdraw
Get a £3 New Customer Bonus with code E3ES
When you sign up to JamDoughnut and enter the promo code ‘E3ES‘ you can receive a £3 new customer bonus.
To receive the bonus you will need to make your first gift card purchase.
Once you have completed your first purchase via the app the 200 points will immediately be added to your JamDoughnut account.
