Nolan is 1! I can’t believe how quick the year has gone. I really struggled with what to get him for his first birthday. I knew that family and friends were going to spoil him rotten so I didn’t want to get too much for him from myself and Gavin. If you are after some 1st Birthday gift ideas then read on to see what we bought Nolan.
Kinderkraft Aveo Tricycle – £89 or £75 via Topcashback
We were really stuck on what to get Nolan until Gavin spotted this Kinderkraft tricycle on Groupon. Nolan loves being out and about and he isn’t always fussed on being in the pram so this was perfect for us. I managed to bag 16% cashback on the item as well when I bought it via Topcashback saving us an extra £14. We’ve been using the tricycle for a week now and Nolan loves it! He worked out how to ring the bell on the handlebars and now he thinks it’s the greatest thing ever. It was really easy to put together and it folds in half which makes it perfect for popping into the boot of the car when we go out for the day. I’m absolutely thrilled with it and it looks pretty swanky as well.
Infantino 3 in 1 Grow with Me Walker – £43.56 (Gifted)
We were very kindly sent this 3 in 1 baby walker from Infantino for Nolan to review. Nolan already had the Vtech First Steps Baby Walker which was given to us by a friend, it’s a lovely walker but the songs and music drive me mental! The Infantino car walker is really cute, the eyes of the car roll around and flash. The walker also plays songs when your baby walks with the walker and the music stops when they stop. It also has some puzzles on the side of the car which is great for when your baby isn’t quite walking yet. I love the vibrant colours of this walker and Nolan thinks the sounds are the funniest thing ever.

Personalised Dinosaur Backpack – £22
This dinosaur print personalised backpack from My 1st Years is the first present I bought Nolan. The backpack is quite small so it’s perfect for when your little one is walking for them to carry their own toy or snacks in. My 1st Years regularly have offers and discounts available and all their items can be personalised with your child’s name. We had a number of gifts from My 1st Years for Nolan when he was born. I love the quality of their products and their design style.
Personalised Paw Patrol T-Shirt – From £8.50
I bought this personalised Paw Patrol t-shirt for Nolan to wear at his first birthday party. The t-shirt can be personalised with your child’s name as well as their age. Everyone commented on how cute his t-shirt was at his birthday party. The quality of the t-shirt is amazing and it is super soft. I was very impressed with it and I would definitely order from that Etsy seller again.

Personalised My 1st Photo Album – £22 (Gifted)
My 1st Years very kindly gifted us their personalised My 1st Photo Album. I’ve been rubbish at getting Nolan’s photo’s printed but I’ve finally downloaded the Snap Fish app which gives you 50 free photo prints a month, you just have to pay for postage. I’ve already printed his first month of photos and have them proudly displayed in his personalised photo album. What I love about this album is that there are cards you can write on and slide into the photo album so you can mark special days with more information.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Board Book – £4.89
Nolan loves books, he flips the pages and loves looking at the pictures. When I saw The Very Hungry Caterpillar on Amazon I couldn’t not get it. It’s a classic story and one I loved growing up. The version I bought is the board book version so that Nolan can’t rip the pages. It’s also the perfect size for little hands.
Personalised My Book of Nursery Rhymes – From £14.99 (Gifted)
Nolan was very kindly gifted his very own Nursery Rhyme book from Inthebook.com. It’s such a beautifully illustrated book and features all the classic nursery rhymes as well as having a special few extras thrown in. The book is personalised with your child’s name and their name is hidden in the illustrations and nursery rhymes throughout the book. As they get older they can enjoy spotting their name hidden among the songs they love which is such a cute addition. You can also personalise the book with a message to your little one which makes for a lovely keepsake.
I think I did well and didn’t go too over the top for his first birthday. What do you think?
