Answering surveys online is a great way to make a quick bit of cash all from the comfort of your own home. Online surveys are something anybody can do and it’s so easy to answer a few quick questions whilst watching TV or before you head to work in the morning. It’s not a get rich quick scheme but it’s enough to treat yourself to something nice each month or save up for holiday spending money. It’s always hard to know which survey sites are worth your time so I’ve complied a list of the best survey sites to use for UK residents.
I’ve been using survey websites since I turned 18. I’ve tried and tested numerous survey sites in that time and have my favourites that I have stuck with. So I thought I’d share with you today the best UK survey sites along with ways to get the most out of them.
Not all survey sites pay cash, some pay in vouchers for places like Amazon, Tesco and Marks and Spencer’s e.t.c. These vouchers can add up really quickly and it’s great to be able to buy something you want without spending a penny of your own money just for answering a few questions online.
I’d recommend signing up to as many survey websites as possible. This way you can really maximise your earnings. Surveys are sometimes very specific and they are looking for certain people to answer questions based on a topic. If you don’t fit that criteria based on your pre-completed profile you will be screened out. So the more survey websites you apply to the higher the chance that you will find more surveys relevant to you that you can complete for payment.
Here are the best paid survey sites for UK residents that I think are worth signing up to:
The Best Survey Sites for UK Users
Prolific

Prolific is the holy grail of survey websites for me. The site is run by academics so the pay for the surveys is much higher than you will find anywhere else. On a really good day I have earned £25 on Prolific. Generally speaking it should be very easy to make about £40 a month on Prolific alone if you answer a survey every day.
Once you reach the payout of £5 you can withdraw the funds to your PayPal account.
There is currently a waiting list to sign up to Prolific but it’s absolutely worth registering for.
Top Tip: Prolific runs differently to other survey websites. You will not receive email invites to complete surveys. Instead you need to leave Prolific open on your computer and check back to see when surveys are available. I’d recommend just leaving it open on a tab whilst you are at your computer or laptop so you don’t miss out on any potential surveys.
YouGov

YouGov is another popular survey website and one I’ve been using for a number of years. You answer surveys for points and then once you reach 5,000 points you can cash out £50 via bank transfer.
Surveys aren’t as regular as Prolific and i-Say but it’s a good site to be signed up to as the pay out is always nice to reach.
Refer a friend: YouGov also have a great Refer a friend scheme. For every friend you refer and that goes on to complete 6 surveys you will get 200 points added to your balance.
AttaPoll

AttaPoll is a mobile survey website which you can download an app to onto a smartphone which makes it even easier to complete surveys on the go. Surveys can start from as little as 1p to answer 1 question and can go up to £2-£3. Generally the higher the payment the longer the survey. My favourite thing about AttaPoll is that their cash out options start at just £2.50! The funds can be withdraw at £5 to a GiftCard, at £3 to PayPal or at £2.50 to Revolut.
If you sign up via my link below and click the settings cog at the bottom right of the AttaPoll app. The select ‘Enter referral code’ and enter the code ‘nkrgi‘ you will receive a 40p starting bonus.
Sign up to Revolut today and get a FREE virtual card that you can link to Apple/Google Pay.
Withdraw your funds from AttaPoll to Revolut instantly and then spend in store with your virtual card.
Qmee

Qmee is a mobile based survey app that also has features like cashback, deals and gaming to help you earn rewards faster. They also have an ‘Oinqs’ feature that rewards you for signing into the app and completing a daily task for 5 days. Simply log into the app and answer the daily poll to receive an ‘Oinq’ for that day. Once you have all 5 you will receive a 10% bonus on all survey earnings. So if you earned £1.50 for completing a survey Qmee would pay you £1.65 if you keep your login streak active.
There are 3 pay out methods including PayPal, Gift Cards and a Charity donation. You will need a PayPal account no matter which method of withdrawal you choose which you link to your Qmee account. You can sign up for a free PayPal account here.
If you sign up to Qmee via the link below you will receive a 50p new customer bonus.
Casheo

Casheo is a get paid to style website. You can complete tasks like surveys, watching videos and signing up to websites to earn Casheo ‘cash’. Once you have built up enough Casheo cash you can convert this into a reward. You can select from 100’s of different rewards like cash to your PayPal account, gift cards for places like ASOS, Boohoo and H&M as well as credit for places like Netflix, Twitch and Spotify. You can work towards different pay-out goals ranging from $1 all the way up to $500. Once you reach enough Casheo cash you can redeem this for any reward you like.
I really rate Casheo as a website for earning cash and vouchers as it’s available to use in numerous different countries including UK, USA, Australia, Spain and France to name a few.
i-Say

i-Say is another one of my personal favourites. This is the survey site that I have been using the longest and in that time I have received £100’s worth of shopping vouchers. With I-Say you answer surveys for points and then these are converted into vouchers. You can redeem vouchers for places like Amazon, Marks and Spencer, Topshop and Tesco just to name a few.
Whilst you can get screened out of surveys with I-Say you will receive a few points just for completing the initial questions so the points add up quickly.
Last year I managed to pay for our entire Christmas food shop from Marks & Spencer’s all with gift cards I have earned from completing surveys with i-Say.
Those are the Best UK Survey Sites that I’m using at the moment. I find some really are a waste of time so I’ll only let you know about the ones that are really worth your while doing. Time is money after all.
Other Ways to Make Money Online

There are so many ways to make money online! I’ve written a free e-book all about my favourites ways to make money using the internet. You can get a free copy of the ‘How to Make Money Online’ e-book emailed to you by signing up to my mailing list here (You are free to unsubscribe at any time):
Matched Betting
Matched Betting has always been my favourite way to make money online. In the last 3 years I’ve made over £30,000 in tax free cash doing it. I’ll be totally honest and say that it’s not for everyone but for me it dramatically changed my life. I’ll always be thankful that I discovered it when I did.
Fiverr
If you’ve got a skill then Fiverr is the place to look for work. You can pretty much sell any skill set on there. Some of the top requested jobs include graphic design, copywriting and data entry. So if you’ve got some time to fill then it’s a great place to look for freelance work.
Market Research Studies
There are always market research studies going on and for all different types of companies. My most recent study was for a contact lens brand that were looking for feedback on their social media presence. Market research studies can pay very well and they often don’t take up much time at all. There are a few places you can look for market research studies, my favourites are Research-i and Angelfish Opinions.
Blogging
So this one takes a bit of time to build up for you to be able to make money from it, it’s more of a long game but it’s definitely worth doing if it’s something you’ve been considering for a while. I know when it comes to Blogging a lot of people are worried about taking the plunge and committing to it. But you can start a blog for as little as £2.50 a month so you’ve really got nothing to lose by giving it a go. Find something you are interested in and start writing about that.
Once your blog is established there are a whole host of ways to monetize your website. My favourite way is by running adverts on my blog. Every time someone visits my blog I make money. It’s such a good form of passive income.
If you have got a blog already I’d highly recommend incorporating adverts into it. Especially if you have a high traffic volume. I’m currently running Ads with Ezoic and it’s really helped having that trickle of passive income coming in.
I use Swagbucks. It’s a nice way to earn a bit of money on the side.
I am signed up to Prolific but never really use it any more. I don’t ever have time!
I only use Nectar’a surveys which help get Nectar points towards my Sainsburys account.
I make a small amount of money online with matched betting . It’s important to understand betting and how the exchanges work and I do it as much for fun as for money .
I do postal surveys for amazon vouchers and use cash back sites !
I sell things that the kids or us no longer need
I haven’t tried these – I like using cashback sites though!
Thanks the tips. I use Top Cashback and sell things I don’t need but that’s about it.
No – need to learn how to hustle
I play free games on betting apps and use free bets. Made over £100 of cash last week, risk free
I like risk-free items such as betting sites where no deposit is required. Gambling is addictive so I tend not to spend money in order to get money if that makes sense
I do surveys and use quidco i also use sweatcoin 🙂
Interesting. I’ve not considered how much using paid survey sites could add up. Might become my new hobby!
No I don’t make money online. I need to find out how!
I used to do them all the time, I don’t seem to have time anymore though
No but some great tips here
I use isay and do lots of surveys and try products out.
I do surveys, prolific, userzoom, ipsos mori and I’m giving matched betting a go.
I have not done but this is great advice, I usually use discount codes
I use topcashback and comparison sites for power, phone etc.
To be honest, I’m a bit scared of survey sites as a lot seem like data harvesting
I mostly use quidco at the moment.
I use topcashback & look at comparison sites for car & home insurance savings.
Have thought of matched betting but haven’t tried it yet.
No I just read about how to make money online not taken the plunge yet
Not really considered this before, but will look into online surveys
I love TopCashBack. I think over the years I’ve had £800+ in cash back. It’s amazing how much you get.
I don’t make money on line. I do found this site too time consuming.
I knit and sell baby clothes mostly to the USA, my husband buys and sells porcelain mostly to China
i use cashback sites
I love using Prolific – the studies are sometimes really interesting and generally pay well. I love making money blogging too, it’s a passion of mine so it’s great that it can earn me some money.
I’ve used YouGov for a while, would recommend them!
Starting to learn the ways of the hustling sensai
I only do populuslive and panelbase my time is precious and i have to pick and choose what to spend my spare few hours on so these ones i have found are more benifical to me
Hi Nolene, I’d definitely try Prolific if you get the chance. They have high paying surveys.
I believe to start a blogging as side hustle
I am a member of almost every survey site as well as some other similar sites. It can be frustrating if you’re not matched for a survey and it does take quite a while to build up enough funds to use. However I will keep working diligently
I use Top Cashback as often as possible. The money soon adds up.
I use some survey sites like toluna, opinion panel I do the odd survey and also have a add on called gener8 which you can earn points just by browsing once you get enough points you can redeem for gift cards I usually use it for amazon
not really just sell my unwanted stuff on Ebay or Gumtree
I do postings and surveys with Kantar and earn postage stamps and vouchers
I sell a few things on Ebay from time to time, use cash back sites for online purchases and use the occasional free bet. Its not much, but it provided a little spending money for treats and meals out
Like others I use cashback sites, do a few surveys and sell the odd item or two but don’t really have a side hustle
I do not really do anything like that, the hubby does he strips cars and sells the parts
I occasionally sell on ebay
I undertake surveys for vouchers etc
I do enjoy surveys, I generally do quite well with Prolific.
I do plenty of surveys
I’m signed up to crowdology, but it’s more miss than hit 😩
I find some sites take too long to upload anything however I do use Ebay to buy and sell, gumtree for large items and I complete some surveys that are of interest to me. I love topcashback!
I do some survey sites but only for fun so not religiously
I do the surveys but they can take a while to save up enough.
I have only ever made money from selling old clothes etc on Depop and eBay so will definitely have a look in to some of these sites, i have so many tabs open full of ideas to investigate so thank you.
Selling things on Facebook is great because no selling fees!
I do surveys when I have time. Use a number of sites, including Crowdology, Ipsos, Toluna, Opinion Bar and Prolific
I take pictures of my receipts and upload them on an app which exchange points for Amazon vouchers!
I enter competitions and sometimes I win!
I do surveys and trial products for several companies
I use Topcashback and I save my cashback for Christmas. I also complete Nectar surveys and I have linked my account to eBay and Argos so that I receive extra points when I purchase from them.
I love Prolific, I did a £12 survey yesterday – and have made over £300 on there so far. Secondary I love Swagbucks, I have made well over £3000 on Swagbucks but I’ve been a member for years and have lots of referrals.
I sometimes do paid surveys and also use cash back sites
im giving matched betting —its going ok so far
Some great ideas on here. I’ve never tried anything like this.
It never occurs to me to sign up for any site where I can make money. I’m too busy reading other people’s posts.
I am a member of various survey sites which allow me to make a little money online here and there.
I do surveys online to make money. I only use prolific as it’s really worthwhile.
Prolific seems to be the best for actually earning something. Some surveys can be time consuming. Be patient.
Surveys, cashback sites and selling things I no longer want
I like to use cashback sites such as Top Cashback and Quidco.
I use a cahback site but also one that donates to charity when I shop. I also love the google survey rewards that add up bit by bit enough to treat myself to an e-book once in a while or an in-game item that my son likes for his gaming.
I don’t use any of these but I do well on eBay sometimes
I use yougov and all the cashback sites, I love it when you cash all your savings in
I sell on prizes I win that I don’t want, and the kids’ old toys and clothes on Facebook marketplace.
I also use YouGov and also Quidco which work very well for me.
I like to use TopCashback to earn some cashback on things I was already going to buy.
I’ll be honest, I’m awful at the survey sites! But Matched Betting and (with Kayleigh’s help) getting paid for blogging has turned my life around. I’ll certainly give these a try!
I enter a lot of surveys, it’s amazing how much you can save up through the year
I thoroughly agree with your views on prolific – Always good to have the window open in the background so you can see when new surveys pop up.
Hi, I’m so glad I found your blog! Thank you for sharing! I’ve been wanting to make a little extra money from home and this seems to be a good place to start. One question though. I work part time to full time depending on overtime. I know surveys don’t bring in a lot but how does it work with tax? How much would I need to earn from these before I need to declare?
Hi Gina, if you are a UK resident you can earn £1,000 alongside your main source of income without having to declare it. Anything over this amount and you will need to register as self-employed and complete a tax return each financial year.
I was a member of nearly 20 survey sites for a long time. I decided to limit myself to the ones that I enjoyed the most – and actually paid out!
I got fed up with Toluna telling me that the reward I had chosen was not available and in fairness refunding my points but if I cannot ‘cash out’ on what I want – then there is no pint in doing the surveys.
So now I do Swagbucks – that pays for Christmas. You Gov – a nice £50 here and there and PanelBase, again a nice addition to the pot and lovely to win one of their monthly prize draws.
I am open to new ideas, but am repeatedly disappointed these days with facing thing that are smartphone only. That is discrimination
as far as I am concerned. AttaPoll is closed to me because I do not have and do not need a smart phone.
I am going to give Casheo a chance.
