The Grazing Shed Cardiff Food Review
Our visit to the Grazing Shed was gifted but all opinions are my own.

I love burgers. When it comes to eating out 90% of the time I’ll choose a burger from the menu. The other 10% of the time I’ll choose a lasagne. Some might call me a fussy eater but I know what I like and I stick to it. I’d like to consider myself a fast food fiend.

On Saturday I headed to The Grazing Shed on Barrack Lane, Cardiff with the Welsh Girls Blog squad to review their incredible burgers. If you know Cardiff city centre well The Grazing Shed can be located near the big lightning bolt. Not far from the big Cineworld and the Motorpoint Arena. If you don’t know Cardiff well the postcode is Cardiff CF10 2FR for the Barrack Lane store. The restaurant is only small so you might miss it but it’s opposite The Stable and across the road from Zizzi.

The Grazing Shed Cardiff Menu

The Grazing Shed are dedicated to making ‘super tidy burgers’ they even have a hefty menu for Vegans and Vegetarians which you don’t find often at dedicated burger restaurants.

The Grazing Shed menu includes 10 beef burgers, 7 chicken burgers, 6 veggie burgers and 6 vegan burgers. You can also upgrade to a meal and add loaded fries, sides and a drink to your order.

After much deliberating and a lot of recommendations I opted for the John Wayne Burger. The John Wayne is a beef burger with cheese, smoked bacon, BBQ sauce, cajun mayo, red onion confit, ketchup and lettuce. Basically my dream burger!

The burger was incredible. I could really taste the cheese and the red onion confit. The combination of toppings was perfect and the flavours all complimented each other. Although packed with toppings the burger was actually really light to eat and super juicy.

Along with our burgers we also tried some of the loaded fries. Between us we tried the Dirty Fries and the love it or hate it Cheese and Marmite Fries!

Would you believe it I hadn’t ever tried Marmite before (shock, horror) but I definitely fall under the hate it category. I gave them a good try though but my taste buds were having none of it.

I did however devour a large amount of the Dirty Fries. The Dirty Fries are fully loaded with cheese, smoked bacon, jalapeño infused sour cream, cajun mayo and chives. OMG! They were amazing! I love spicy food and the jalapeño infused sour cream had one hell of a fiery kick to it. If you can handle the Hot Sauce from Nando’s then the Dirty Fries will be right up your street.

Not only do they have a wide variety of burgers and fries to choose from they also have their own selection of ‘super tidy sodas’ to wash your meal down with. We all opted for a different flavour so we could try the full range available.

The Grazing Shed Super Tidy Soda

Drink flavours include Cherry Bakewell, Cloudy Lemonade, Fiery Ginger Beer and Strawberry and Elderflower to name a few. The most popular choice is the Cherry Bakewell drink which tastes like a combination of Dr Pepper and cherries. Definitely a thumbs up from me. I’m also a sucker for cloudy lemonade, it was perfectly sweet but not too sickly.

The Grazing Shed prices are pretty on par with other burger places in Cardiff. Burgers start at £6.95. The John Wayne Burger is £8.95. The dirty fries are £5.95. And their Super Tidy Sodas are £2.95. So you can get a decent burger, large portion of fries to share and a drink for around £17.85.

I honestly cannot recommend The Grazing Shed enough and I can now see why so many people rave about it as the go to place for burgers in Cardiff. I can’t wait until I’m in Cardiff next to visit again.

On my next visit it’s going to be a toss up between The Argie Bargie or the Bunga Bunga burger. I’ll also definitely be ordering myself some Dirty Fries again as I need that spice back in my life!

Massive thank you goes to Elian from The Grazing Shed for having us and we will definitely be back soon!

I’ve been back to The Grazing Shed on Barrack Lane in Cardiff a few times now. And every visit has been outstanding. I’ve definitely found my favourite menu items in the John Wayne Burger and the Dirty Fries. I can’t get enough of the  jalapeño infused sour cream!

So if you are looking for the best burger in Cardiff then definitely give The Grazing Shed a go.
